Carlos Sainz Jr.: Tallies point but struggles
Sainz finished 10th in the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Sainz struggled for pace all weekend, beginning with the sprint race when he qualified 13th only to fall further down the pack and well off the pace of points. He and Williams made a successful adjustment for the race, which led to his first point for his new team. Speaking after the race, Sainz still wasn't satisfied with his pace because his finish was the product of two Ferrari disqualifications and the correct strategy calls made by his team -- rather than the performance of the car. His form will likely improve as the season progresses, but teammate Alex Albon is earning better results early on this season.
