Patricio O’Ward: Heartbreak at Thermal Club

O'Ward finished second in the Thermal Club IndyCar Grand Prix on Sunday.

Analysis:

It was a strong result for O'Ward and a solid bounceback after a disappointing 11th-place finish at St. Petersburg to kick off the season. Nevertheless, he looked to be on his way to victory for much of the Grand Prix, as he started on pole and then paced the field for 51 laps. However, Alex Palou charged hard across the final third of the race and ultimately easily beat O'Ward to the finish line.
