Jack Doohan: Season-Best Finish In Japan

Doohan finished 15th in the Japanese Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Suzuka Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

The young Alpine driver started 19th on the grid after a forgettable qualifying effort on the Suzuka Circuit. Doohan and his team would try a strategy gambit starting out the grand prix on soft compound tyres. The move wouldn't pay off with only one spot gained after the start and he'd soon pit on lap 15 for hard tyres. Doohan would fight his way up to P14 on the long run after stops, but he'd lose a spot late to Carlos Sainz to finish P15. It was his best performance to this point in the season as the young driver continues to seek his first points of 2025.
