George Russell: Grid Penalty at Bahrain
Mercedes drivers Russell and Kimi Antonelli have both been hit with one-place grid penalties for the Bahrain Grand Prix, following rule breaches in Saturday's Qualifying session, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
Both Mercedes drivers showed great speed and qualified second- and fourth-place respectively. However, the stewards penalized Russell and Antonelli after the qualifying session for a breach of rules. The pair entered the fast lane on pit road before the Q2 session resumed after Esteban Ocon's crash. Russell will now start third on the grid in Sunday's Bahrain GP.
