Jack Doohan: Struggles at Jeddah

Doohan finished 17th in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Sunday evening.

Analysis:

The Alpine rookie would struggle with qualifying and start the grand prix 17th on the grid. Doohan would pit during the early caution and safety car to take on hard compound tyres for a long run stint. Doohan would find track position hard to come by and an extended battle with Liam Lawson would see Lawson get penalized for leaving the track to get around Doohan. Another pitstop on lap 32 would relegate the young driver deep in the field and only a late overtake of Gabriel Bortoleto would slot him in 17th-place at the finish.
