Max Verstappen: Claims Miami GP Pole

Verstappen delivered an incredible performance to clinch pole position in Qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix, the reigning World Champion going fastest from Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli despite a slight error on his final run, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

Verstappen would advance to Q3 and set the early marker in his very fast Honda machine. He would look vulnerable at one point but the two McLarens could not overtake him in the closing seconds of the final session. Verstappen would edge Norris by six-hundredths to claim his third pole of the season and 43rd-career pole position. The Red Bull Racing star will be the man to beat Sunday in the Miami GP.
