Yuki Tsunoda: Hangs onto points in Miami

Tsunoda finished 10th in the Miami Grand Prix F1 race at Miami International Autodrome on Sunday.

Analysis:

Tsunoda had a sloppy weekend but still walked away with four points between the sprint and traditional grand prix. He and Red Bull mistimed his sprint lap in qualifying, causing him to be knocked out in Q1. However, he then got the timing of his switch to intermediate tires exactly right during a rainy sprint race and pushed up the field to gain a point. Tsunoda's finish in the grand prix was more straightforward, as he qualified ninth and still managed to finish in the points despite drawing a five-second penalty for speeding on pit lane.
