Oscar Piastri: Wins Emilia-Romagna Pole
Piastri won the pole for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Imola Circuit on Saturday afternoon.
Analysis:
McLaren has had the pace all weekend in Italy and it was up to the young driver to seal the pole in qualifying Saturday at the Imola Circuit. Piastri would put down a lap of 1:14.670 in Q3 and survive challenges from Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and George Russell in the closing moments to secure pole position. It was his third pole of the season and Piastri will be aiming for his fifth win of the season in Sunday's Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
