George Russell: Dramatic fourth place in Spain
Russell finished fourth in the Spanish Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Analysis:
Russell delivered a needed strong weekend after a disappointing finish at Monaco. He both qualified and finished fourth, though the end of his race was hardly routine. A safety car bunched up the field with around six green-flag laps remaining, and Russell got into a heated battle with Max Verstappen for fourth position. Verstappen appeared to be conceding the spot after gaining an advantage off track, but he then drove into the side of Russell -- seemingly intentionally. Russell got away without injury or significant damage, allowing him to record his best finish since the Miami Grand Prix.
