Pierre Gasly: Disappointing Finish in Montreal

Gasly finished 15th in the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

After changes to his car post-qualifying, Gasly would start the grand prix from pit road. It would be an uphill battle the entire race for the veteran Alpine driver. A long opening stint would get him up to P14 but degrading tyres over the long run would see Gasly fade to P16 by his lone pit stop on lap 53. He could only recover to 15th-place in the closing laps with a late overtake of Isack Hadjar.
