Fernando Alonso: Collects more points

Alonso finished eighth in the Dutch Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday.

Analysis:

Alonso had a very inconsistent weekend, but the end result was positive. He reached Q3 for the third time in his last four grand prix to line up 10th on the grid. However, Alonso uncharacteristically lost several positions at the start of the race, which he managed to gain back thanks to the strategy from Aston Martin to pit him early, and fortunately, just prior to a safety car. After a slow start to the season, Alonso has now recorded points in six of his last seven races.
