Liam Lawson: P14 in Italian Grand Prix

Lawson finished 14th in the Italian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Monza Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

After a poor qualifying effort and P18 start on the grid, Lawson and his Racing Bulls team would go aggressive to start the race on soft tyres. It would initially gain him three spots in the opening laps, but the downside would be that he'd be the first to pit on lap 9 for fresh rubber. That move would force him to the back and Lawson would find it difficult to regain track position. He would ride P17 down the stretch and would only promote to P14 at the finish due to time penalties to other drivers. He'll look for better results next round out in Azerbaijan.
