Lewis Hamilton: Early Retirement at Interlagos
Hamilton finished 18th in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Hamilton would have a very tough day in Sao Paulo. A lap 1 that would see him struck by Carlos Sainz and then shortly after make hard contact with the rear of Franco Colapinto's Alpine. He would pit on lap 2 for a new front wing. Later the Ferrari star would be slapped with a 5-second time penalty for the incident with Colapinto. The injured Ferrari would be a handful for Hamilton from there on and he'd report several times a very shaky and bumpy ride. The team would decide to retire him mid-race due to a damaged floor from the lap 1 incidents. Hamilton will look to rebound next round out in Las Vegas.
