Gabriel Bortoleto: Disastrous home race
Bortoleto retired on the opening lap of the Brazilian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on Sunday.
Analysis:
Bortoleto had a tough home race from start to finish. He suffered a huge crash in the sprint race, but thankfully walked away without any significant injury. However, the damage to his car was extensive and excluded him from qualifying. As he tried to pick up ground on the opening lap of race day, he entered Turn 10 in a battle with Lance Stroll but was sent into the wall, damaging his suspension. That forced his retirement and ended a tough home race weekend.
