Fernando Alonso: Fades out of points in Vegas

Alonso finished 11th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday.

Analysis:

Alonso took advantage of rainy conditions in qualifying to reach Q3 and start seventh on the grid. However, Saturday night proved to be a challenge with the track dry. His Aston Martin lacked the pace to compete with other cars in the middle of the field, pushing him to a 13th-place finish on the road. He was promoted to 11th with both McLarens disqualified, but he's still failed to record a point in four consecutive grand prix.
