Lando Norris: Tops Bahrain Day 1

Norris topped the timesheets as pre-season testing kicked off at the Bahrain International Circuit on Wednesday, leading the way from Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, Formula1.com reports.

Max Verstappen would lead the morning session of the day 1 test in Bahrain. But it would be Norris who would climb into the McLaren to relieve Oscar Piastri and work down to the fastest lap of the day in this test. His lap of 1:34.669 would end up edging Verstappen by just one-tenth. Norris' 58 laps run were on the light side compared to most drivers this day, but he had the definitive pace in this opening day of testing at the Bahrain circuit.
