Valtteri Bottas: Drive-Through Penalty

Rotowire2 days ago

Bottas finished 18th in the Miami Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Bottas' day would be marked by lack of pace and severe tyre degradation. He would pit under the lap 6 safety car in hopes of gaining some kind of advantage. However, it would not pan out for the Cadillac driver. Bottas would later pit on lap 21 and exceed pit lane speed during the stop. The stewards would hit him with a drive through penalty a few laps later that would seal his fate. Bottas would ride P18 from there to the finish as the last car running at the end of the Miami Grand Prix.
