Report: De Ligt agrees to Juventus contract worth €12M per season
Juventus agreed terms with in-demand Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt on a five-year contract worth €12 million per season, according to Sky Sport's Gianluca Di Marzio.
The deal will include a €150-million release clause, reports Goal's Romeo Agresti.
Juventus will now begin negotiations with Ajax, who want the Bianconeri to match the €75 million that Paris Saint-Germain previously offered for De Ligt.
PSG were considered the favorites to sign De Ligt, but the 19-year-old reportedly took some time to evaluate his options before making a decision.
Juventus stepped in with a sizeable offer that apparently enticed the Dutchman, who'd form a formidable center-back partnership with the experienced Giorgio Chiellini at the Allianz Stadium.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf also reported this month that Cristiano Ronaldo's "charms" played a role in the negotiation process.
