Lyon sign Zaha on loan from Galatasaray just ahead of deadline
Lyon have signed Ivory Coast international winger Wilfried Zaha on loan from Turkish giants Galatasaray, the French club announced just before the summer transfer window closed on Friday.
The seven-time Ligue 1 champions said they had agreed to pay three million euros ($3.3 million) to secure the services of Zaha until the end of this season.
Now 31, Zaha moved to Galatasaray a year ago from Crystal Palace and helped the Istanbul giants win last season's Turkish title.
He previously made 458 appearances for Palace over a period of 13 years, and also had a brief stint at Manchester United.
Zaha's new club recorded their first win of the Ligue 1 campaign on Friday, beating Strasbourg 4-3.
Lyon will play in the Europa League this season, with opponents including Eintracht Frankfurt, Rangers, Olympiacos and Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce.
