PSG emerges as betting favourite to land Mourinho as manager
Following reports of an approach from Paris Saint-Germain, Jose Mourinho's likeliest next permanent role is no longer to succeed Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.

The Portuguese coach has long been touted to be taking the helm at Old Trafford this summer, but the alleged contact from Les Parisiens president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has seen Mourinho become the favourite for a job in the French capital instead, according to Bet Victor and other bookmakers.
Real Madrid, who Mourinho oversaw between 2010 and 2013, is the third favourite with odds of 4/1.

The news which distances Mourinho from the United helm is expected to concern large sections of the club's support, with fans growing increasingly restless with the management of Van Gaal. It could spark a managerial merry-go-round, however, with some earlier reports suggesting current PSG boss Laurent Blanc could assume control of United.
The Independent understands that the Red Devils are yet to make an approach for Mourinho, meaning that PSG could have stolen a march on its rival to secure the former Chelsea gaffer's signature.
Under Blanc, PSG is still in the hunt to add the Coupe de la Ligue and the Coupe de France to its fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title, while United faces a battle with arch-rival Manchester City and West Ham United to secure a Champions League berth through the Premier League standings.
