France looked destined to be held to a disappointing draw in the opening match of Euro 2016 against Romania ... and then Dimitri Payet decided to unleash a left-footed thunderbolt into the top corner to bring the Stade de France, and the football world, to its feet.

The 89th-minute stunner gave Les Bleus a 2-1 victory, and capped off what was a dominant performance from the West Ham star.
