The green hordes crammed into the corner of the Stade de Lyon went into a frenzy when Robbie Brady placed his penalty in off the post to claim a second-minute lead for Ireland.
The spot kick was allowed on Sunday when Paul Pogba clumsily bundled over Shane Long in the area. Will that make the numerous club executives clamouring for the Juventus midfielder's signature think again?
