Report: PSG holds talks with Draxler's agent over €30M transfer
Paris Saint-Germain is offering Julian Draxler a French escape.
The agent of the Wolfsburg outcast has entered talks with PSG over a €30-million January transfer, according to reliable RMC Sport reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi.
Wolfsburg is asking for at least €40 million.
Draxler, who moved to the Bundesliga outfit in July 2015 for €35 million, has since been dropped from Valerien Ismael's squad following vehement whistling from the club's supporters.
Now training by himself, the 23-year-old has made clear his desire to leave Wolfsburg this winter, and PSG is the latest to extend a lifeline.
Arsenal and Juventus are also on the lookout. Bouhafsi believes the Gunners are prepared to offer around €35 million for the Germany international, and could use compatriot Mesut Ozil to convince Draxler of a move to north London.
But PSG appears to be in the best position to sign Draxler. The capital club attempted to recruit the player last summer, only to be met with a €80-million asking price.
Falling out of favour in recent months, Draxler is now available at a significant discount.
In the meantime, the Volkswagen Arena outfit has slumped to 15th place in the Bundesliga standings.
