Report: PSG's Neymar earns world's 2nd-highest salary
Neymar's transfer to Paris Saint-Germain coincided with the Brazilian becoming Europe's highest-paid player.
Following his world-record €222-million transfer from Barcelona, it's believed that PSG is paying Neymar a weekly salary worth more than €650,000, according to leaked documents published by German news outlet Der Spiegel and translated by The Telegraph.
The figure is derived from the reported five-year, €36-million annual contract he was offered in the French capital, making Neymar the continent's highest paid player.
However, it's believed that Carlos Tevez remains the world's best-paid footballer with a weekly salary reportedly worth just under €700,000 with Chinese Super League team Shanghai Shenhua.
So far, Neymar has lived up to the hype by helping PSG claim top spot in France's top flight with his four goals in five league appearances.
