Real Madrid denies reported deal with PSG for Mbappe
For the second time in as many days, Real Madrid denied having agreed upon a deal for a Paris Saint-Germain star.
After refuting a report Monday that it lodged a €310-million offer for Brazilian forward Neymar, the reigning Champions League winner released another statement Wednesday to deny it had reached an agreement with PSG over French phenom Kylian Mbappe.
"Given the information published in the last few hours regarding an alleged agreement between Real Madrid C.F. and PSG for the player Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid would like to state that it is completely false," the club's release reads.
"Real Madrid has not made any offer to PSG or the player and condemns the spreading of this type of information that has not been proven by the parties concerned."
Transfer-market speculation has surrounded Los Merengues in recent days, though not just in terms of adding million-dollar stars. Cristiano Ronaldo, who has hinted at an exit away from the 33-time La Liga winner since it won its third consecutive Champions League trophy on May 26, is being linked with a stunning move to Serie A champion Juventus.

Mbappe and Neymar are representing France and Brazil at the World Cup, respectively. The club teammates could find themselves on opposing sides in the semi-final if Brazil defeats Belgium and France beats Uruguay in their quarter-final matchups.
