Indicted Diallo free to leave France to join Levante
Paris, Jan 2, 2023 (AFP) - France international Aminata Diallo, who is being prosecuted over an assault on her ex-Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kheira Hamraoui, signed for Spanish club Levante on Monday after she was given permission to leave French territory.
"Aminata Diallo signed for Levante in the winter transfer market," the Valencia club announced on Twitter.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who has seven France caps, had been without a club since the end of her PSG contract in June.
She has been charged with aggravated violence and criminal association for her role in the ambush on Hamraoui in November 2021.
Diallo, who has denied any involvement in the attack, spent five days in jail after her indictment and has been under judicial supervision since her release in September. This has been modified to allow her to leave French territory, her lawyer, Romain Ruiz, told AFP.
