Monaco bounced back from two defeats with a comfortable 2-0 win over Toulouse on Saturday to reclaim second in Ligue 1 and restore momentum ahead of a Champions League visit to Arsenal.

Monaco fell at Marseille in the league last week and at home to Benfica in Europe four days before that.

On Saturday, they suffered a blow before kick off when captain Denis Zakaria was injured in the warm-up. He is a doubt for Wednesday's Champions League match.

Monaco opened the scoring in the 50th minute when defender Wilfried Singo headed in at the far post from a free kick by Lamine Camara. Breel Embolo headed in a second in the 82nd minute.

The win took Monaco to five points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain who drew 0-0 at Auxerre on Friday.

Marseille can retake second place on goal difference with a win at Saint-Etienne on Sunday.
