Stekelenburg conceded an average of 2.53 goals in 19 appearances in 2013-14 as Fulham were relegated from the Premier League upon finishing 19th. The campaign marked a low point in the career of the 31-year-old Dutch 'keeper, who only four years ago was turning heads while guiding the Netherlands to the World Cup final.
"I am happy to be a part of the project of the club," Stekelenburg told AS Monaco's official website. "I am fully going to give myself for my new colors. I am a 'technical' goalkeeper. I like playing far from my goals and helping the team."
