RENNES - Cameroon international striker Vincent Aboubakar has left Lorient for FC Porto, the French club announced Sunday.
The transfer of the 22-year-old, who scored 16 goals in 35 league games for Lorient last season, was complicated at the last minute by medical tests that showed up a knee problem.
According to press reports, the transfer initially estimated at 10 million euros plus two million in bonuses has been cut in half for a player who arrived at Lorient on a free transfer from Ligue 1 rivals Valenciennes.
