Benoit Assou-Ekotto signs 1-year contract with Saint-Etienne
His afro is dead, but his football career is still alive.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto found a new home Tuesday, putting pen to paper on a one-year contract with AS Saint-Etienne.

Assou-Ekotto, 31, was released by Tottenham Hotspur in February after not making a single appearance under manager Mauricio Pochettino. The move likely marked the end of what was one of the most impressive Cameroonian careers in the Premier League.
155 - Only Lauren (184) & Alexandre Song (178) have played more PL games than Benoît Assou-Ekotto (155) amongst Cameroonian players. Vert ?

Nonetheless, it appears that Assou-Ekotto is very much looking forward to taking the pitch at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
