Ibrahimovic's next club move will be 'a very big surprise'
Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has weighed in on the flurry of rumors and reports linking him away from France, insisting he's happy in Paris and teasing that fans and journalists alike won't see his next move coming.
"Where I go next, it will be a surprise, a very big surprise," Ibrahimovic said following a 2-0 preseason win over Manchester United. "I'm very happy at PSG. You don't see that on the field? I have another year on my contract with PSG and I am very happy."
The Swedish striker has been linked with a number of teams, including Manchester United and AC Milan. But, a poor relationship with manager Louis van Gaal led him to rule out a move to United, while Milan's new arrivals are urging Ibrahimovic to come back to the San Siro.
It's not the first time this summer that Ibrahimovic has teased a potential move. The 33-year-old said last week he is very much open to a move to Major League Soccer.
"I would like to play in (the United States), absolutely," Ibrahimovic told Yahoo Sports. "I would like to play. Which team? Am I allowed to say that? No, I cannot say that."
Perhaps that closely guarded secret team is the surprise Ibrahimovic is hinting at.
