Major League Soccer continues to undergo a steady growth, and promisingly sits just over 2,000 short of the Italian Serie A - a division which is 95 years older.
The greatest disparity seems to be in the Chinese Super League, which regularly welcomes attendances of around 22,580 but gets very little exposure in the western world and has a national side languishing in 84th of the FIFA World Rankings.
