Portugal's Bruno Alves earned the rare distinction of receiving a red card in a friendly on Thursday.
Alves left no room for doubt in the mind of referee Marco Guida, as he launched himself in the air and struck England's Harry Kane in the head.
To his credit, Kane got up immediately and appeared ready to play on. All he did was point to his head to indicate that he had indeed suffered the blow.
