GIF: Carlos Vela fires Mexico into lead over Holland

It took eight minutes for Carlos Vela to make an impact against the Netherlands in his first match with the Mexican national team in more than four years.

Vela, who accepted a call-up to the Mexican team last week after relations with former national team coach Jose Manuel de la Torre deteriorated, was given his first start since 2010 and made the most of it when he unleashed an unstoppable shot past the Dutch 'keeper to give the Mexicans an unexpected lead.
