Argentina's Paredes renews Roma deal until 2026
Leandro Paredes has extended his contract with Roma until the end of next season, the Serie A club announced on Tuesday.
In a statement, Roma said the Argentina midfielder's new deal "will expire on 30 June 2026".
The 30-year-old, a world champion in 2022 and two-time Copa America winner with his country, has played 129 times and scored 10 goals in two spells with Roma.
Paredes also won four league titles with Paris Saint-Germain and the Russian Premier League with Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2019.
His renewal is a boost for in-form Roma who are head to Athletic Bilbao on Thursday with a chance of reaching the Europa League quarter-finals.
Roma lead the tie 2-1 after winning last week's first leg in Roma late on through Eldor Shomurodov.
The capital club have been revived since veteran Claudio Ranieri came out of retirement to retake the reins of his boyhood team in November.
Roma were candidates for relegation when Ranieri replaced Ivan Juric but are in the fight for European football next season thanks to nine wins from a 12-match unbeaten run in Serie A.
