Italy suffer double defensive Nations League blow

Italy's hopes of overturning a 2-1 Nations League quarter-final deficit against Germany suffered a double blow on Friday when defenders Riccardo Calafiori and Andrea Cambiaso were ruled out through injury.

Arsenal's Calafiori is suffering from a left knee injury picked up in the final minutes of Thursday's first-leg loss in Milan.

Also out of Sunday's return clash in Dortmund is Juventus full-back Cambiaso who has not fully recovered from a left ankle injury sustained against Fiorentina in Serie A last weekend.
