Report: Barcelona willing to sell Arda Turan
A pawn in Barcelona's presidential election last year, Arda Turan is reportedly for sale.
According to Xavi Hernandez of Marca, Barcelona is willing to sell Turan, even for two-thirds of the €40 million that the Blaugrana paid Atletico Madrid for the Turkish midfielder in 2015. Specifically, the Catalan club spent €34 million to sign the 29-year-old but the transfer included performance bonuses that could see the price rise by €7 million.
Upon joining Barcelona, Turan was forced to wait half a year to take the pitch for the Blaugrana, who was serving a transfer ban for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of 10 players under the age of 18. Once he was able to play, he made 18 appearances in La Liga last season, nine of which were as a substitute.
Turan's chance of earning more minutes was compromised six days ago, when Barcelona decided to exercise the buy-back clause for Denis Suarez, who was at Villarreal, for €3.25 million.

The Premier League is apparently a potential landing spot for Turan, given the strong interest he received from English clubs last year.
