Strong showings at Euro 2016 saw both Wales and France skyrocket up the FIFA World Rankings on Thursday, the Dragons jumping 15 spots to No. 11, while the defeated finalist vaulted 10 places up to seventh.
Newly crowned European champion Portugal, meanwhile, slots in at No. 6.
The Welsh rise coincides with England's fall, with outspoken Gareth Bale likely to tell anyone who will listen that the Three Lions, down in 13th, are now two spots lower than their British Isle brethren.
Atop the list remains Argentina, Lionel Messi and Co. retaining top spot despite a second consecutive loss to Chile in the Copa America final. Belgium hangs on to second spot, while Colombia rounds out the top three.
The top 10 is as follows:
- Argentina
- Belgium
- Colombia
- Germany
- Chile
- Portugal
- France
- Spain
- Brazil
- Italy
