Watford announced Tuesday the loan of midfielder Mario Suarez to Valencia for the 2016-17 season, with a purchase option added to the end of the loan spell, which expires on June 30, 2017.
The 29-year-old joined the Hornets in January 2016 out of Fiorentina and made 17 appearances in the second half of the 2015-16 Premier League campaign.
He joins a Valencia team looking to reinforce its midfield ranks after losing Javi Fuego and Andre Gomes in the summer transfer window.
Suarez has enjoyed stints at Atletico Madrid and Mallorca and returns to La Liga after 11 years in his native country before swapping to Italy's Serie A.
He has represented Spain three times though he hasn't been capped in recent years.
