Lionel Messi is off to a flying start to begin the Liga season after his two long-range strikes lifted Barcelona to a season-opening 6-2 thrashing of Real Betis.

Messi finding the back of the net is nothing new, but the manor in which he scored represented just the fourth time the Argentine has scored a brace from outside the box.

To celebrate the feat, Barcelona opted to treat supporters to a compilation of the Ballon d'Or winner's 10 best goals from outside the penalty area.
