Real Madrid confirmed Monday that two vital contributors have been shelved by injury. Left-back Marcelo was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring problem, while midfield superstar Luka Modric is dealing with an abductor issue.
Both men suffered their respective ailments in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Malaga.
Timelines for their respective returns were not announced by the club, though reports suggest the pair could be facing a month on the sidelines.
If confirmed, that would prove a massive blow for manager Zinedine Zidane as Los Blancos embark on a crucial, busy portion of their season.
