Video referee just disallowed Griezmann's goal for off side, all sorted in under 30 seconds, pretty impressed #FRAESP #fifa #videoreferee pic.twitter.com/dLymKCGYPI

The future is now, at least on the football pitch, as video-assisted refereeing made its mark in France's friendly against Spain with a correct offside decision awarded to preserve a 0-0 scoreline at the start of the second half.
Antoine Griezmann was denied the opening effort after replays showed his teammate Layvin Kurzawa was in an offside position when he headed the ball over for Griezmann to finish.
The best part? The whole review took less than a minute.
Later in the half, VAR implementation confirmed a goal scored by Gerard Deulofeu, which was initially called offside.
Without video replay, France might have held a 1-0 lead, but two reviews ensured that Spain rightfully won the match 2-0.
