Atletico Madrid has Antoine Griezmann to thank for scoring a late equalizer and securing a solitary point in Saturday's Madrid derby against bitter rival Real Madrid, with the formidable Frenchman potting an 85th-minute strike to stun the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Griezmann successfully broke through the Madrid backline, predicting a pass from teammate Angel Correa before slotting home a left-footed shot with ease.
It canceled out an earlier headed effort scored by Pepe and left the two teams level at the final whistle, 1-1.
