Barcelona took the pitch in silence Sunday, playing behind closed doors as police cracked down on the independence referendum being held in Catalonia. The Catalan capital's mayor says more than 460 people have been injured by police violence that disturbed voting. Videos depict police attacks on protesters and firefighters, and voters being dragged by their hair.
The club condemned the events, and Barcelona's board of directors decided to host UD Las Palmas at Camp Nou behind closed doors.
