Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed he intends to finish his career overseeing youth players, preferably at hometown club Barcelona.
Guardiola began his time as a coach at La Blaugrana's B team. He was such a success that he spent just a single season in the role before being promoted to manager of the star-studded senior side.
"I will finish again where I started," he said in an interview on Movistar's "Universo Valdano," as reported by Sky Sports. "My last steps will be with the youth teams; I hope it is with Barca. I think it's the best place to start."

Guardiola's connection with Barcelona runs deep. Born 60 kilometers from Camp Nou, he joined the famed La Masia academy at the age of 13 and spent the next 17 years at the club, winning six league titles and a European Cup. He was away for just six years before returning as the youth coach, and won 14 trophies in four years as manager of the senior side, including the treble in his first season.
He is currently working wonders at City, leading the club to become the first English team to break the 100-point barrier in the Premier League era, and is contracted at the Etihad Stadium until June 2021. At just 47 years old, he will likely believe he still has a long way to go in coaching before reaching those "last steps."
