URGENT ¥¥¥ Betis v Sevilla suspended after player hit by object thrown from crowd
Madrid, Jan 15, 2022 (AFP) - A Copa del Rey match between city rivals Sevilla and Real Betis was suspended on Saturday after Sevilla's Joan Jordan was struck on the head by an object thrown from the crowd.
After a stoppage of around 45 minutes at the Benito Villamarin, the Spanish football federation confirmed the game had been suspended. Jordan did not appear to be seriously hurt.
