Getafe extended coach Jose Bordalas' contract by two years on Friday after he helped them earn La Liga survival.
The 59-year-old was appointed for the second time at the club in late April on a short-term contract until the end of the season, after Quique Sanchez Flores was sacked with the team battling relegation.
Getafe stayed up on the final day of the season, finishing 15th, two points above the relegation zone.
"Having achieved the objective of staying in the league, he will extend his contract with the club, where he has managed a total of 219 games over the two spells," said Getafe in a statement.
"He is the coach who has coached the team for the most games during their time in professional football."
