Bottom-of-the-table Almeria sacked coach Vicente Moreno on Friday after failing to win any of their first seven matches in La Liga.
Almeria said in a statement they took the decision because of "the team's bad results, with just two points" on the board.
Sevilla thrashed Almeria 5-1 on Tuesday, with the heavy defeat the final straw for the 48-year-old, who had been appointed in June.
Reserve team coach Alberto Lasarte takes over on an interim basis with Almeria facing Granada, 19th, on Sunday.
Moreno is the second coach to be sacked this season in La Liga, following Villarreal's dismissal of Quique Setien in September.
