Real Madrid striker Benzema leaves game against Espanyol with apparent groin injury
The injury concerns continue to pile up for Real Madrid.
And with just one week until ahead the Champions League final with city rivals Atletico, the timing could not be worse.
After superstar winger Cristiano Ronaldo pulled himself out of the starting lineup prior to today's match against Espanyol for precautionary reasons related to a lingering thigh issue, striker Karim Benzema was forced to leave the contest due to an apparent groin problem.

Benzema, who has scored 17 league goals this season, will be in a race against time to play in the aforementioned cup final.
On a positive note for Los Blancos, Alvaro Morata did score twice in replacing the Frenchman, helping the club finish the season with a 3-1 win.
