MADRID - Next season's Spanish La Liga campaign will begin on August 24, the Spanish Football League (LFP) said on Thursday.
The official start date still has to be ratified by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) but that is little more than a formality.
The season will end on May 24, 2015.
Before the start of the season, though, Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Sevilla will be involved in the European Super Cup on August 12 in Cardiff, while European champions Real also must play city rivals and Spanish champions Atletico in the two-legged Spanish Super Cup on August 20 and 27.
The Spanish King's Cup final will be played on May 30, one week before the Champions League final.
